It can be so hard to feel positive about our bodies sometimes. I know, I’ve been there too. Scars, trauma, natural bodily changes and postpartum body changes can make it even harder to embrace how amazing our bodies are.
What if the first step towards a healthier relationship with our body was to simply use different and more loving words to describe it – thereby training our brains to associate our body with positivity.
Here are some examples of things we could say to ourselves about our bodies:
“I have my own unique beauty”
“I am enough”
“I feel healthy”
“I am beautiful”
“I am worthy just the way I am”
“My body feels strong”
“I love and respect my body for all that it has been through”
“My body gave me my children”
What if these were the first things you said to yourself in the morning when you looked in the mirror?
